Sd. Kfz. 171 Panther continued

Finally finished a little more work on this. Not much, due to a very busy work load at the paint shop.
Progress is being made though.
The rear storage boxes are being sorted out in another media to see if they look better. You'll remember the first attempts were built with plastic sheet. This time around I've decided to try aluminum foil.

The boxes might bend a little more "realistically" with the aluminum.

They still need some cleaning up of course, and as of right now I've no idea how to approach the lids but something will come to mind.

The wheels, standard fare for these German tanks, there's quite a few, were beat up a bit for a used look.

The storage tube for the cleaning rods received attention. The molded on retaining straps didn't look right, neither did the solid handles on the end caps. Both were altered. This will see a little damage added to it as well. But hey, it's going to be a well used Panther right?

That, I'm afraid, is the update for now. Plans are for an interior of some sort in the turret. That will allow the hatches to be left open. Some Eduard photo etch detail, and a couple other ideas being kicked around.

Thank you for looking in on the build, we'll see you soon.
